I have no doubt that departed friends can contact us, or try to. It's not always that we're aware of their attempts, though, as they have to do it more or less indirectly.

Perhaps what you experienced was such an attempt made by your friend, or the stereo just switched on for other reasons. Many electronic devices will do that, triggered by electric signals sent out by remote controls...or who knows, perhaps the phone.

At least, you were given a confirmation of your own fond wish that your friend was around. In the book "Conversations With God", God says that we're receiving messages from everything around us - tunes on the radio, every "random" thing or event coming our way. If we pay attention we can get the answer to questions and problems we're wondering about - everything around us is communicating.

so whether your experience was from your friend, caused by her or him, or it was a confirmation to a secret wish, doesn't really matter. In both cases you were told that your friend is there - somewhere. There is no death, just a transformation, a move to another form and dimension - and if we can truly remember and believe that, we can live with greater confidence and ease, is what I think:)
