On defining SpiritFrom: PollyLynn CommentsA deep sense of spiritual leads one to trust not one's own lonely power but the great flow or pattern manifested in all life including our own.We become not manipulator but witness.Oddly the psychic is used to prove the spiritual to the non-believer.Yet the spiritual is the one dimension of human experience which does not require proof-which lies beyond and includes the very mind which demands the proof.Every religion tends to think they have dibs on the spiritual and that it's the "Way".Spiritual perhaps is that realm of human experience which religion attemps to connect us to through dogma and practice.Relgion is a bridge to the spiritual and unfortunately we may become attached to the bridge rather than crossing over it.Yearning for the spiritual varies in strengh from person to person and healing becomes possible. Thanks and Peace....PollyLynn [discussions/_private/commdisc_aftr.htm] |
