Hi!

I finally found your post! I was looking in the Spiritual Insights message board (this is the "Small Talk" message board :-)).

I'll answer here and then copy it to your question in PS3 too...

I have been 'aware' of ghosts (or spirits, or whatever you want to call them!), since I was as young as I can remember. ...I'll just call them 'uninvited visitors' for now, because over the years it has gotten rather complicated for me.

When I was very young, my Mother would find me sitting in the living room in the middle of the night and ask me why I was awake. I'd tell her it was because of the ghosts in my room, I couldn't sleep, ...I was 'scared'! She would just tell me that, if I saw any ghosts, they would be my relatives and I didn't need to fear them. (Our house was built by my Great-Grandfather and only family had ever lived there.)

This never satisfied me, but it did help me to get a perspective on what ghosts are (and are NOT!). In my own head at least... :-)

As I see it, we have 3 'bodies' in one. Our PHYSICAL body (obviously :-)), our ECTOPLASMIC body (also used for OBE's), and our SOUL (...which has no individual 'body', as we know it).

There is a place, sometimes called the "Astral Graveyard", in a vibratory level just above the physical, where we leave our personality after death. (NOTE: Before you all get on my case about this, please notice I said 'personality', not individualisim! ...Perhaps a discussion in itself! :-))

Exactly how it works, I don't know, but I *think* that, sometimes, this personality/ectoplasmic body still thinks it has to do something on the physical, or doesn't realize it's no longer ON the physical, or is just emotionally 'attached' to a place in the physical. i.e. Stuck!

When we see them, even before we can think about it, our first reaction is to be afraid....
